Medical Physicist, II

About the Role

Join CARTI as a Medical Physicist and play a critical role in ensuring the safety, precision, and quality of radiation therapy treatments. You’ll work with cutting-edge technology, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to innovative cancer care solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, quality assurance (QA), and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment (e.g., TrueBeam, CyberKnife).
  • Develop and oversee treatment plans, including techniques like 3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS.
  • Support brachytherapy procedures and advanced radiotherapy techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with AAPM standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in clinical discussions, staff training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s Degree in Medical or Radiological Physics (or related field).

Certification: ABR certification in Therapeutic Physics (or eligibility).

Experience: Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency or 2+ years of relevant experience.

Skills & Expertise

  • Proficiency with linear accelerators, CT imaging systems, treatment planning software, and dosimetry equipment.
  • Working knowledge of modern imaging systems (CT, MRI, PET) tied to radiation oncology.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to implement new procedures and train staff effectively.
