High School Science Teacher

Job Description:

Windsor Academy is seeking a high school science teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. Windsor Academy is a Pre-K through 12th grade Christian school located in Macon, GA. Our vision is to provide students of Windsor Academy with the highest quality of education that generates a sense of pride in accomplishment and encourages a desire to exceed expectations.

Job Summary:

The high school science teacher will be responsible for teaching 2-3 subjects in grades 8-12 which may include environmental science, physical science, biology, chemistry, forensics, or anatomy.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in education or a field of science. Advance degree is a plus.

· Certification: Valid teaching certificate in the assigned teaching field

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Implement science curriculum that meets educational standards

· Be willing to teach multiple science courses

· Create and post engaging lesson plans each week which include a variety of teaching methods and use modern teaching techniques

· Create and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding

· Provide constructive feedback to students and parents in a timely manner

· Establish classroom behavior standards and maintain a safe and organized environment

· Communicate with students, parents, and colleagues in a timely manner

· Interact with students, parents, co-workers and all other stakeholders in a professional manner

· Perform all assigned duties including, but not limited to, morning/afternoon supervision of students, gate duty at athletic events, fundraisers, etc.

· Support students in their academic and personal growth
