Safety Intern

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Print off/Collect any new Safety Alerts to Distribute in the Plants
  • Check Smart plant - DS, and input any DS that have not been
  • Check on Maintain X or other Safety Requests (Get list of items to check on the floor)
  • Run a Safety Checklist audit and email to supervisor
  • Attend the 8:30am APU
  • Walkthrough the plant / audit (inside or out, or both)
  • Preform daily/monthly tasks
  • Work on assigned projects (check with teams for help)
  • Electronic Files - Scan all files and put into a folder in SharePoint, recycle after scan confirmed.
  • Update Online tracker for updates and check for 7-8 DS submitted in Smart plant
  • Lead monthly safety meetings for LIV locations
  • Assist and lead in HSE current projects 
  • Obtain OSHA 10hr Certification 
  • Perform risk, facility, and sustainability assessments
  • Participate in monthly wastewater sampling 
  • Have effective communication with safety and team members 
  • Accomplish 80% or more of the Internship Plan

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Working towards a Bachelors’ degree in an Engineering discipline.
