
Safety Intern
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Print off/Collect any new Safety Alerts to Distribute in the Plants
- Check Smart plant - DS, and input any DS that have not been
- Check on Maintain X or other Safety Requests (Get list of items to check on the floor)
- Run a Safety Checklist audit and email to supervisor
- Attend the 8:30am APU
- Walkthrough the plant / audit (inside or out, or both)
- Preform daily/monthly tasks
- Work on assigned projects (check with teams for help)
- Electronic Files - Scan all files and put into a folder in SharePoint, recycle after scan confirmed.
- Update Online tracker for updates and check for 7-8 DS submitted in Smart plant
- Lead monthly safety meetings for LIV locations
- Assist and lead in HSE current projects
- Obtain OSHA 10hr Certification
- Perform risk, facility, and sustainability assessments
- Participate in monthly wastewater sampling
- Have effective communication with safety and team members
- Accomplish 80% or more of the Internship Plan
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Working towards a Bachelors’ degree in an Engineering discipline.
