Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel - Nebraska is seeking qualified candidates for an Environmental Engineer Internship throughout the summer.  The responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to, working hands-on in water treatment areas, baghouse systems, stormwater management projects and with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.  This position will also work with all areas of our Environmental department in an industrial setting.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor Steel-Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:

   Currently enrolled at a university or college in a program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
   Collegiate GPA of 2.75 or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

   Previous internship experience
   Environment-related experience
